Initial Ideas #1
My first idea was to show the journey of plant life. It
would start with filming a packet of seeds and showing what they are called and
how they will look. The second shot would be from above looking at the pot of
soil and digging a hole to place the seed into. The camera angle will stay
looking down into the pot and see the seed being placed, covered and watered.
All shots of it growing will be taken at medium high angle so that you can see
enough of the growth and how tall it is. This will continue on a daily basis as
the plant starts to grow. It will be taken from the same angle to show the
height of it increasing. The lighting will be sunlight, to show it is getting
the nutrition it needs to be healthy. Once it has grown quite a lot, the camera
will move in a circular movement around the flower to show how beautiful it has
become, then show a before and after fade in to show the difference. We will
then film it on a miserable cloudy day, we will film the sky looking rainy and
then the flower not getting any sunlight and day by day film the flower slowly
drooping until is has crumbled and died. The camera angle will then zoom in on
the withered flower and then slowly zoom out. It will end by showing it being
dug out and replaced with a new seed.
Initial Ideas #2
My second and favourite idea was to show the journey of
a cheese cake. It would start by lining up all of the ingredients on a table
and setting the camera on the table in front of the first ingredient and then
will slide across the table showing each individual ingredient. Then the camera
will focus on the bowl and show everything being put in and mixed. The camera
angles will vary whilst showing things being mixed and poured into a cake tray.
Then the camera will focus on a clock and say “30 mins later” (this will later
be edited so the minute hand goes round quickly) and then show it coming out of
the oven. The camera will then record all of the decorating tubes and tubs we
will be using and show it being decorated in fast forward to make sure nobody
gets bored watching it. It will then
show the cake all decorated and being boxed up and being placed behind some
glass in a bakery. The camera will then film somebody coming in, looking behind
the glass and choosing it. It’ll then get boxed up again and paid for and it’ll
be filmed from behind close up to the box watching it being taken down the
street and placed on a plate and go in slow motion as a knife cuts down the
centre. The last scene will be of a chunk on the end of a fork, being placed
into someone’s mouth.
Initial Idea #3.
My third idea was to film the journey of getting to
college and back. I would film how dark it is when I wake up and film walking
to the bus stop. I would vary the shots and angles by sometimes filming my feet
or filming behind me. I would film
different things such as my walk to the shops and filming all the stuff I could
buy and what I choose. I would film me leaving the shop and going round
town before heading back for class. The lighting would almost always be using
daylight. I will show who is watching what I do at dinner and give a tour of
Burton. I will also add music to it to make it more interesting. I would speed
up certain bits and slow it down to keep
viewers intrigued.
