Week by Week

Monday 17th September

This was the very first induction lesson. We covered looking at different shot types and how each individual one is used. We looked at different types of video cameras and how to use each one and what the advantages and disadvantages are. We then created a blog to do weekly session posts, research notes and to post work for Andrew to see. This was good because everybody got a feel of how the course worked and what was expected of us.

Monday 24th September

We could not attend this class as our group was scheduled to go to a motivational speech by Jack Black at Cineworld. This lasted from 9am-4pm. This included teaching us ways to relax if we're stressed, inspiring us to be better at what we do and to never give up. Some of it was good however it went on too long and they didn't make it very entertaining when they could have used a video to break the day up.

Monday 1st November

I did not attend this lesson, however the rest of the group used cameras for the first time and recored Burton Statutes outside of college. They then looked through the footage to see what could be used and what would need editing although they didn't edit because this was more to get a feel on what recording it would be like and we didn't know how to use the editing programme.

Monday 15th October

Our tutor, Andy was not present today. We was going to go through how to edit our 1 minute videos using Premier Pro. We have planned to be filming our video on Tuesday the 16th (tomorrow)and editing the Monday after. Therefore, today was a catch up day on all work. I have updated this week-by-week post and started planning out my presentation, later we will be booking a camera out for tomorrow and checking out Premier Pro.
